Steve Thornton is a 20+ year veteran advertising photographer specializing in fashion, beauty, lifestyle & cowboy imagery. Early in 2005 he had a call from a friend who was getting married. Steve congratulated his friend on his impending nuptials and chatted about old times and events. Then his friend asked if Steve would photograph his wedding. Steve reminded his friend that he was not a wedding photographer and in the last 20+ years he had turned down every request from other friends to shoot their wedding. His friend said, "I don't care, I want you to shoot it." So Steve thought about this for a moment. What he had running through his mind was his friend, Brian Allen, was Miami's top male model in his age range, that Brian had dozen's of photographers he could have asked in and around Miami but Brian elected to call Steve in Atlanta. Understanding that this was a supreme compliment Steve agreed to shoot the wedding in his fashion editorial style. Later Steve would comment to Brian that he had a lot of fun and now actually wanted to shoot weddings. The shots you see here are Steve's first wedding photo shoot. This is not his first shoot, just his first wedding.
